Born dec.29 ,1955 Minneapolis Minnesota.
Mother was art professor and historian and father was a commercial artist.
He enjoyed drawing in my early youth.
1974 Attended Austin Peay University.Majored liberal arts. and studied theatre influenced by artists Mozart in music and Monet in painting.1992 Started photography and photographed in radical ways to try to create "Impressionism ".
1993 Attended New York School of Photography. Learning the art of printing....... Attended New England School of Photography and eventually added the "human form" to my studies and artwork.
1998 Sedona Arizona and southwestern USA. The beginning of the art dream!..... found a powerful environment to create powerful scenic photography with human form and land.
2003 Finished temporarily human form and land and took the photography into the laboratory and digital wide format printing.Worked in this phase for many years perfecting the skill of printing .
2018 after getting married and moving to Japan made an art collaboration with Japanese artist yashushi yokoo of ancient scroll of washi and gumpi paper design and donated at Okuta shrine - Fukui prefecture, at the senjin Shinkansen festival.
At the Imachi Contemporary art and paper exhibition work was received and the artwork on scroll named "Rock Thrown",received the Fukui Shimbun Award".
2018 October 7 th through 13 th the first Art exhibition of Matthew Ericson called ..... "Power Female"－Mother Earth"－ is offered in Tokyo
